SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) - New Delhi

SocietySTADD is a consortium partner executing the World Bank funded ICAR-NAIP project titled ?Achieving Improved Livelihood Security Through Resource Conservation and Diversified Farming Systems Approach in Mewat?. Haryana Agricultural University is the lead institution, with other collaborative partners being NCAP, IARI, CIRG, CASA, and CIMMYT. The project will conclude in 2013 and hopes to address issues concerning Conservation Agriculture adoption in the Mewat region of South Haryana.
The organisation wishes to recruit the following candidate based on terms and conditions outlined below:
SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) ? One Position: Basic Salary of Rs. 16,000/month + HRA
Qualifications:
1. The candidate will hold a Bachelors/Masters degree from agricultural or social science stream, be under 30 years of age, preferably with work experience of 2-5 years in watersheds, livelihoods, agro-forestry, agriculture, and/or rural development.
2. Among other working skills, the candidate will be expected to have sound analysis, documentation, communication, and English & Hindi language skills.
3. The SRF will need to be self-mobile and may be located at New Delhi/project area based on work needs, and will be expected to travel regularly as work demands.
4. Reporting to the Research Associate, the SRF will be committed to execute project activities thus maintaining project milestones, and report them periodically as indicated. The incumbent should be highly committed to meet project deadlines through effective team work.
5. A high level of proficiency will be expected in use of electronic tools and office automation equipment.
